The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for the City of Alexandria until 8 p.m. today, April 27. Thunderstorms will be capable of producing damaging wind gusts and isolated tornadoes. A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area. Residents should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and watch for later weather statements and possible warnings.
