HOMEWARD TRAILS PET ADOPTION AT WARWICK POOL HOUSE — Saturday, June 19, 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
WVCA will sponsor a pet adoption event at the Warwick Village Pool House on Saturday, June 19, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Homeward Trails (HT) Animal Rescue volunteers will be on hand to answer your questions on the adoption process and volunteer opportunities with HT. You’ll be able to meet some of Homeward Trails’ dogs and cats who are looking for their forever home.
Homeward Trails is a non-profit organization that provides pet adoption in Virginia, Washington, DC and Maryland. They find homes for dogs and cats rescued from high-kill animal shelters or whose owners could no longer care for them. Later on, enjoy an evening of baseball.
Join the Washington Nationals for a fun evening at the ballpark and help Homeward Trails Animal Rescue save lives at the same time! Washington Nationals v Chicago White Sox Saturday, June 19, at 7:05 p.m.
Proceeds from tickets purchased from this link will benefit Homeward Trails Animal Rescue: http://washington.nationals.mlb.com/was/ticketing/groups_events.jsp?group=homewardtrails
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR WARWICK POOL PROJECTS — Show you value the neighborhood pool. WVCA is looking for volunteers to help out with a series of projects to spruce up the Warwick Pool facilities. Projects include power washing the pool deck, painting and repairing picnic tables, weeding, exterior and interior painting of the pool house, caulking, and some light carpentry.
We are looking for a pressure washer we can borrow for the project.
If you are willing to give some time this summer to help paint, weed, and repair contact Andy Duncan at a_duncan@comcast.net or 703-549-2727. Projects can be as short as 2-3 hours.
